Bridget Cooper

Last October I left my role as Marketing Manager with a law firm with a desire to develop a flexible and satisfying career. I was keen to learn new skills, get involved in short-tem projects, interact with different people and have fun. A key driver for change was also a desire to enjoy more family time.
As a result, I studied life coaching and set up a coaching business to support working mothers, which I combine with marketing consultancy for law firms.
Coaching working mothers is about helping them to feel in control and fulfilled. Their definitions of success vary enormously, it could be to land the top job, set up their own business, increase energy levels, improve relations with in-laws or become more involved in their local community. With coaching it’s about where they are now and where, or who, they want to be, then setting a realistic plan to get them there.
In addition to the working mothers' coaching, I’m also keen to support the ‘sandwich generation’, those people squashed between responsibilities for children and elderly parents. Joining the ‘sandwich generation’ is something that can happen very suddenly, adding unexpected and unplanned pressures. In this situation coaching can help lift and provide clarity to individuals who find themselves with too many responsibilities.
Coaching sessions are flexible in that they can be held anywhere, from my home to a coffee shop in Brighton, even over the phone.
My marketing consultancy business focuses on firms in London and the South East and I work with partners or in-house marketing teams to help them strengthen relationships with existing clients; identify attractive markets and win new business. This involves advising on managing client relationships and client research; developing marketing campaigns; and developing relationships with referrers and PR.
