E-Newsletter - October 2009
Welcome to the October issue of the Ambassadors Network newsletter.
This month, SEEDA has been impressed by the achievements of its Women's Enterprise Ambassadors and partners, which are highlighted below. From publishing a book to achieving national recognition for commitment to Women’s Enterprise, the accomplishments are inspiring and worthy of celebration.
September also marked the national launch of the Encouraging Women into Franchising Group, intended to inspire, support and educate women in all aspects of franchising. New Franchise ambassadors have been added to the website and we will keep you updated with upcoming events on the Franchising calendar. We would love to hear more from those involved in franchising, so please do keep the case studies coming.
Did you know about the absence of British female leaders of FTSE 100 companies? Whether this is because of a lack of women role models at the top or other reasons, it’s a depressing statistic. Nevertheless, through continued commitment to encouraging women entrepreneurship, we trust that this will change in the future.
Finally, we hope you plan to get involved in Women’s Enterprise Day on 18th November. Held as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, it’s a great way to reach out into your local community and inspire other women and girls about business. Further information is available on our website.
I do hope you find plenty of useful information
in this issue and may I wish you every success in the month ahead.
Best wishes,
Joanne Rogers
