E-Newsletter - March 2010

Welcome to the March issue of the SEEDA Women’s Enterprise Ambassadors Network newsletter.

As you know, March 8th was International Women’s Day, with SEEDA supporting a number of related events across the region. SEEDA Ambassadors and Advocates actively participated and continue to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and women in the early stages of running their own business. We would love to hear more individual stories, so please email Joanna Ashmead at Prowse to tell us more.

At the recent Ambassadors PR and Media Briefing, participants discovered ways to boost their personal and company profiles in the media. The event proved inspiring for all who attended and discussion included experiences of dealing with the media and how Ambassadors have gained as a result. This was particularly highlighted by one participant who discovered how vital thorough preparation is before live radio interviews!

Also, this month, we report on one Ambassador’s campaign to make the motor industry more accessible to women and include an interesting survey on where ‘bright’ women are located. Of course, it’s no secret that the SEEDA Women’s Enterprise Ambassadors Network has more than its fair share of ‘bright’ women, so please do contribute to the research (the links are below).

I do hope you will find this issue interesting and may I take this opportunity to wish you every success with your businesses.

Best wishes,

Claire Gillon
