E-Newsletter - March 09
Welcome to the March issue of the Ambassadors Network newsletter.
As some of your may know, 8th March celebrates the annual event of International Womens Day, and SEEDA has been busy running and supporting a variety of events to mark the occasion. The day has been a global celebration of the economic, political and social achievements of women for over a hundred years and in many countries constitutes a public holiday.
As well as successful events we achieved
some excellent coverage in national and regional news highlighting our support
for women’s enterprise. Thank you to all of you who arranged, attended or
contributed to International Womens Day activity.
This month’s feature is on the impact of the recession and how we believe women’s enterprise is well placed to deal with the adverse economic climate, which was highlighted recently on the Politics Show South East by SEEDAs Chief Executive and Women’s Enterprise Task Force Co-Chair Pam Alexander.
I hope you find plenty of useful information in this issue, and wish you continued sustainability and success in these challenging times.
Best wishes,
Helen Cook
