E-Newsletter - January 09
Welcome to the January issue of the Ambassador Network newsletter, and a belated Happy New Year to you all.
I hope you are experiencing a good start to the year and continuing to make your mark on the business world in 2009. Despite the challenging conditions, interest rates are now lower than they have ever been and the Government is keen to support business owners.
The past few months have been very busy for our Women's Enterprise team, not least because of activity being developed to support businesses in the current economic climate. We've also reviewed our activities to make the Women's Ambassadors Network an even more dynamic resource to help you to build your business, increase your confidence and spread our Women's Enterprise message!
As well as planning an inspiring 2009 events schedule, the website has recieved a makeover and is now a great resource for the network. But do make it work for you - raise your profile by sending us your story and details of your women's enterprise activities....
In this issue, we also focus on funding. Business Link's South East Business Monitor research recently noted that women-owned and managed businesses are less likely to use external finance and more likely to borrow only small amounts when they do. Therefore, we are pleased to highlight two new opportunities to help women business-owners obtain financing - a key enabler for growth.
Please keep us informed about your activities and best wishes for the months ahead.
