The need to reduce red tape and simplify business support was yet again highlighted as a big issue for small firms in a recent survey conducted by BT Business. Three-quarters of respondents said they wanted a cut in red tape and a simplification of business regulations and a third also wanted an improvement in the advice and support which small firms receive from government.
SEEDA is currently working with partners to simplify business support across the region and hopes to have a new framework in place by April next year.
