Business leaders and policy makers met at Fetcham Park House in Leatherhead last week to hear about the progress SEEDA is making on its Women’s Enterprise initiatives.
Helen Cook, SEEDA’s Women Enterprise Manager, gave a positive update about the activities being undertaken to encourage more women to consider enterprise and starting up or growing their businesses. “Encouraging more women into self employment is currently an untapped market that we need to address”, she said.
Helen told guests at the event about SEEDA and its partners’ efforts to develop women-friendly business support programmes, which are designed to address some of the factors that stop women taking the step into self employment.
