Business women and men from across the South East came together on 25 September to attend the inaugural meeting of the South East England Women's Enterprise Ambassadors Network. Held at the Burford Bridge Hotel, Dorking, the event was hosted by Pam Alexander, Chief Executive of SEEDA and Co-Chair of the National Women's Enterprise Task Force. Other speakers at the event included Helen Cook, SEEDA Women's Enterprise Manager, Joanne Rogers from Prowse & Company Ltd and a number of female entrepreneurs from across the region.
Pam Alexander, who made the keynote address, was delighted to lend her support to the initiative. She said: "Encouraging greater levels of entrepreneurship amongst women is a government priority. Men are twice as likely as women to set up their own business and women are massively under-represented among the region's business owners. The South East Ambassadors Network has been created to encourage and support new female entrepreneurs, boosting the number of women in business."
