About Us
Creating Change Through Connectivity

EVEnet was launched on Monday 14th November 2011 at an event hosted by Mary Macleod MP, supported by Lloyds Banking Group, at the Houses of Parliament during Global Entrepreneurship Week.
Our aim is to help transform the lives of individual women, their families and local communities by supporting those women considering self employment or career progression to board level.
This will benefit our country through a greater contribution by women to the economy. We know the UK is missing out on economic benefits through a lack of women in business and crucially, now is the time for women to become our own Agents of Change.
This online resource hub is at the heart of EVEnet, providing business advice, motivation and information. Our inspirational case studies of ordinary women who are already running companies or participating on boards are designed to encourage others to take action.
Specifically, EVEnet will:
- offer an online knowledge hub for women seeking to start their own business or attain a senior role in business.
- provide a business networking club for women, which offers opportunities for personal development, business mentoring and networking.
- highlight the importance of women to the economy and promote gender balance in the boardroom. support enterprise by building skills - especially among disadvantaged communities and young people.
- promote successful business women as role models to encourage those considering self employment, career progression and young enterprise.
Women’s enterprise was estimated to have contributed more than £130 billion to the UK economy in 2009, despite the fact that only around 17% of companies are led by women. It is widely believed that a significant increase in the level of female entrepreneurship will contribute to the economic recovery.
We’d like to encourage you to get involved and promote the contribution women make to the economy and to business in general, as you go about your daily working life.
